IBS may be your problem!

Suffering from cramps, abdominal pain, bloating gas, diarrhea, and constipation?

IBS-irritable bowel syndrome is a common disorder that affects the large intestines. Unlike ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease IBS does not cause inflammation or changes in bowel tissue or increase a person’s risk of colorectal cancer.

The symptoms of IBS improve for most people as they learn to control their condition. The way to control irritable bowel syndrome is by managing one’s diet, lifestyle and stress.

Here is a link to one of my favorite sites for looking up diseases and medical disorders.

  1. I have ulcerative colitis, and although IBS is not the same, I'm interesting in all things related to the gut. IBS is certainly a condition that can be managed by lifestyle changes, whereas, the medical community claims IBD is not related to diet since it is autoimmune. I'm still trying to figure that out.
